Recovery & Career Coach Opportunity
Help People Move From Instability To Employment
Recovery Career Services is seeking a small number of part-time coaches to support individuals in recovery and those with criminal justice involvement in securing and maintaining employment.
This role is for someone who understands that employment is not just income. It is structure, identity, and stability.
About The Work
This is practical, goal-oriented coaching.
You will work directly with participants to:
secure employment
prepare for interviews and explain barriers
build consistency and follow-through
navigate real workplace challenges
This is not therapy. It is not passive support.
It is forward movement.
What You Will Do
Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions (primarily virtual or phone-based)
Support resume development, job search strategy, and interview preparation
Help participants address criminal history and employment gaps
Hold participants accountable to clear, realistic employment goals
Provide brief, structured session documentation
Occasionally support small group workshops
Who this is for
This role is best suited for someone with direct experience in:
workforce development or employment services
career coaching or job placement
case management or reentry services
You may currently work in this space or have done so previously.

prefers practical action over theory
This role requires someone who is comfortable working with individuals who may be inconsistent at times and still able to maintain structure, boundaries, and forward progress.
Lived experience with recovery or the criminal justice system is valued, but not required.
Structure And Compensation
This is a flexible 1099 contract role.
Coaching sessions: $50 per completed session (45–60 minutes)
Recovery residence monitoring (if assigned): $30 per hour
Training time: $30 per hour
Initial onboarding typically requires 6–10 hours, including shadowing and training.
Coaches can expect approximately 4–12 hours per month initially, with the opportunity to grow as programs expand.
How Work Is Assigned
Sessions are scheduled based on participant demand and coordinated with the program director. Coaches may accept sessions based on their availability.
